Who we are

We are the developers of Plastic SCM, a full version control stack (not a Git variant). We work on the strongest branching and merging you can find, and a core that doesn't cringe with huge binaries and repos. We also develop the GUIs, mergetools and everything needed to give you the full version control stack.

If you want to give it a try, download it from here.

We also code SemanticMerge, and the gmaster Git client.

Running on mono

We are running the GUI tool on mono again. This time we have installed 1.1.15 on Linux. It seems the mono team has done a big effort improving winforms. We didn't make any change on our GUI tool but this time it looks much nicer than before... :-)

Well, we are still far from the aspect it has on Windows, but it is quite clear (maybe we can do some fixes on our code to enhance the looks on mono) that the tool will look the same on both platforms.

Having a look at an screenshot we took running with 1.1.13-2 is easy to appreciate the big improvements achieved by the mono team.

Transparency was still broken on that version, as the big black "holes" on the tool revealed...

One of our main targets is having a multi-platform system, and using mono it seems we will be able to make it real.

Well, and the last one is a screenshot on XP... It still looks better but... let's wait and see ;-)
